A Brief Indrotuction of Guild Activities

Meetings

Our meetings are held at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds (formerly Barnstable County Fairgrounds), 1220 Nathan Ellis Highway, Route 151, East Falmouth, MA. on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from September to June, unless otherwise noted.  A social one-half hour begins at 9:00 AM followed by our program.

Programs

Each meeting has some activity, either an outside speaker, a workshop,  or a guild member sharing her expertise.

Library

We have a very extensive library for our members which includes books and specialty rulers.  Members also can use our AccuQuilt Go cutter which can be used on site at our meetings or sew dates.  There are a large selection of dies to choose from.  You can view our library by going to  http://hollyberry2.libib.com.

Pictures on Fabric
Members can order pictures of their choice to be printed on fabric for a fee of $4.00.  For more information contact Deb Winograd

Show and Tell

At each meeting, members share the quilted projects that they have completed or those that are still a work in progress.  This is a wonderful way to get ideas/inspiration.

Service Projects

For the past few years, the guild members have made comfort quilts, pillowcases, drawstring bags and knitted and crocheted hats which are donated to various organizations.  Other projects have included making placemats and Christmas stockings for distribution during the holiday season.

Raffle Quilt

The raffle quilt is our major fundraiser.  Members participate in the quilt's construction and it is raffled in July at the Barnstable County Fair.  The proceeds are used to benefit the Cape Cod Fairgrounds who use the funds for their various programs, activities and scholarships.
